Complete, timely and accurate registration of death is crucial for understanding population dynamics and planning effective development programs. The completion of death certificates is a routine aspect of medical care and the accurate completion of death certificates is an important aspect of medical education. Yet, only a few medical schools include formal training on death certificate completion as a part of their clinical curriculum.
